Abstract

The temperature control system is a non linear system because the temperature control system has a delay time, high thermal inertia, parameter variation systems, disturbances, and multivariable systems. Some of the controllers that commonly used are PID controller and Fuzzy control with their strength and weakness for non linier system. Temperature control system designed with Labview for damp the oscillating system and reduce the overshoot on PID controller and speed up the settling time on Fuzzy control. Performance of PID controller and Fuzzy control against temperature control system that has been designed are compared when the system given set point at 70°C. The results of temperature control using PID controller with PID type can slightly dampen oscillation in the system with delay time, rise time, and peak time faster than Fuzzy control, i.e. 209 s, 292 s, and 427 s. The maximum percentage overshoot of PID controller with PID type is greater than Fuzzy control, i.e. 24,28%. Meanwhile, Fuzzy control has a faster settling time than PID controller, i.e. 999 s.

Additional Information: Sistem kendali suhu merupakan sistem tidak linier dikarenakan sistem kendali suhu memiliki waktu tunda, inersia thermal yang tinggi, variasi parameter sistem, gangguan, dan sistem multivariabel. Beberapa kendali yang umum digunakan saat ini adalah pengendali PID dan kendali Fuzzy dengan kelebihan dan kelemahan yang dimiliki terhadap sistem yang tidak linier. Sistem kendali suhu dirancang dengan Labview bertujuan untuk meredam sistem berosilasi dan mengurangi nilai overshoot pada pengendali PID serta mempercepat settling time pada kendali Fuzzy. Kinerja pengendali PID dan kendali Fuzzy terhadap sistem kendali suhu yang telah dirancang dibandingkan saat sistem diberikan set point sebesar 70°C. Hasil kendali suhu menggunakan pengendali PID dengan tipe PID dapat sedikit meredam osilasi pada sistem dengan delay time, rise time, dan peak time lebih cepat dibandingkan kendali Fuzzy, yaitu 209 s, 292 s, dan 427 s. Adapun persentase maksimum overshoot pengendali PID tipe PID lebih besar dibandingkan kendali Fuzzy, yaitu 24,28%. Sementara itu, kendali Fuzzy memiliki settling time lebih cepat dibandingkan pengendali PID, yaitu 999 s.
