Abstract
The background of this research is because of students' misconceptions at the submicroscopic level found in acid-base material. This study aims to produce a four-tier diagnostic test instrument and determine the level of students' understanding of acid-base material. This study uses the ADDIE development model. At the analysis stage, the researcher analyzed the concept, conducted a literature review, and made a concept map. At the design stage, acid-base materials were determined and competency achievement indicators were determined based on KD K13. At the development stage, a trial phase was carried out using 35 reasoned multiple choice questions, then a two-tier diagnostic test instrument was made, after that validation was carried out for 6 high school teachers, 25 items were valid with several revisions, then the questions were revised. At the implementation stage, namely conducting field trials using a four tier diagnostic test instrument. Evaluation stage, testing the level of validity and reliability of questions. A total of 25 valid questions were then tested try. The results obtained by 44% of students stated that they understood the concept, by 38% of students stated that they understood the concept in part, 12% of students experienced misconceptions, and by6% of students stated that they did not understand the concept.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena adanya miskonsepsi siswa pada tingkat submikroskopik yang terdapat pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen tes diagnostik four tier dan mengetahui tingkat pemahaman siswa pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pada tahap analisis, peneliti menganalisis konsep, melakukan kajian literatur, dan pembuatan peta konsep. Pada tahap perancangan, dilakukan penentuan materi asam basa dan penentuan indikator pencapaian kompetensi berdasarkan KD K13. Pada tahap pengembangan, dilakukan tahap uji coba dengan menggunakan 35 butir soal pilihan ganda beralasan, kemudian pembuatan instrumen tes diagnostik two tier, setelah itu dilakukan validasi kepada 6 orang guru SMA didapatkan sebanyak 25 butir soal yang valid dengan beberapa revisi, selanjutnya melakukan revisi soal. Pada tahap implementasi, yaitu melakukan uji coba lapangan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes diagnostik four tier. Tahap evaluasi, menguji tingkat kevalidan dan reliabilitas soal. Sebanyak 25 butir soal yang sudah valid kemudian dilakukan uji coba. Didapatkan hasil sebesar 44% siswa dinyatakan paham konsep, sebesar 38% siswa dinyatakan paham konsep sebagian, sebesar 12% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, dan sebesar 6% siswa dinyatakan tidak paham konsep. | |||||||||
