Abstract

The research was aimed to know the effect of application of different types of animal manure and varieties on the growth and yield of mini bulbs of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) from True Shallot Seed. This research was conducted in the Integrated Agricutural System Area (Sitandu), Curug District, Serang City, Banten Provance from February until May 2022. This reasearch used a factorial Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor was the type of animal manure (P) which consisted of three levels, namely chicken manure, goat manure, and cow manure. The second factor was the variety which consisted of three levels, namely the Lokananta, Maserati, and Sanren varieties. The results showed that the chicken manure treatment tended to have a better effect on all observed parameters, namely the percentage of seed thet grew (46.91%), plant height at 2 WAP (4.97 cm), 3 WAP (6.24 cm), 4 WAP (7.93 cm), and 5 WAP (11.41 cm), the number of leaves at 2WAP (1.57 leaves), 3 WAP (1.57 leaves), 4 WAP (1.92 leaves), and 5 WAP (2.57 leaves), fresh weight of plants (8.10 g), number of tubers per plant (0.76 tubers), tuber weight per plant (2.42 g), tuber length (1.60 cm), tuber diameter (1.15 cm), and tuber weight per plot (73.22 g). The Maserati variety tended show a better effect on the percentage of seed thet grew (52.40%), plant height at 2 WAP (4.89 cm), 3 WAP (6.19 cm), 4 WAP (7.89 cm), and 5 WAP (10.61 cm), the number of leaves at 2 WAP (1.69 leaves), 3 WAP (1.69 leaves), 4 WAP (2.04 leaves), and 5 WAP (2.52 leaves), fresh weight of plants (7.15 g), number of tubers per plant (0.79 tubers), tuber weight per plant (2.19 g), tuber length (1.46 cm), and tuber weight per plot (79.33 g).There was an interaction between the treatment of giving different types of animal manure and varieties to the parameters of the percentage of seeds that were body and the number of leaves at 2 WAP.

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jenis pupuk kotoran hewan dan varietas yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil umbi mini tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) asal biji True Shallot Seed. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kawasan Sistem Pertanian Terpadu (Sitandu), Kecamatan Curug, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten mulai bulan Februari 2022 sampai dengan bulan Mei 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu jenis pupuk kotoran hewan (P) yang terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu pupuk kotoran ayam, pupuk kotoran kambing, dan pupuk kotoran sapi. Faktor kedua yaitu varietas yang terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu varietas Lokananta, Maserati, dan Sanren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk kotoran ayam cenderung menunjukkan pengaruh lebih baik terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati yaitu persentase benih yang tumbuh (46,91%), tinggi tanaman pada 2 MST (4,97 cm), 3 MST (6,24 cm), 4 MST (7,93 cm) dan 5 MST (11,41 cm), jumlah daun pada 2 MST yaitu (1,57 helai), 3 MST (1,57 helai), 4 MST (1,92 helai), dan 5 MST (2,57 helai), bobot basah tanaman (8,10 g), jumlah umbi per tanaman (0,76 umbi), bobot umbi per tanaman (2,42 g), panjang umbi (1,60 cm), diameter umbi (1,15 cm), dan bobot umbi per petak (73,22 g). Varietas Maserati cenderung menunjukkan pengaruh lebih baik terhadap parameter persentase benih yang tumbuh (52,40%), tinggi tanaman pada 2 MST (4,89 cm), 3 MST (6,19 cm), 4 MST (7,89 cm), dan 5 MST (10,61 cm), jumlah daun pada 2 MST (1,69 helai), 3 MST (1,69 helai), 4 MST (2,04 helai), dan 5 MST (2,52 helai), bobot basah tanaman (7,15 g), jumlah umbi per tanaman (0,79 umbi), bobot umbi per tanaman (2,19 g), panjang umbi (1,46 cm), dan bobot umbi per petak (79,33 g). Terdapat interaksi antara pemberian jenis pupuk kotoran hewan dan varietas yang berbeda terhadap parameter persentase benih yang tumbuh dan jumlah daun pada 2 MST.
