Abstract

The production process that takes place in the industry is as continuous as the production process at PT. Galvindo Inti Selaras. In the production process, industries focused on metal plating processes have stages or processes that can generate both liquid and solid waste containing complex compounds, one of which is environmentally hazardous metal compounds. . Liquid waste from one of PT's processes. Galvindo Inti Selaras contains Total Fe and TSS (Total Suspended Solids) levels of 14,000 mg/l and 3,700 mg/l. Wastewater treatment can be both physical and chemical, including flocculation and flocculation processes. This study aims to reduce the total Fe and TSS levels in the effluent pickling process PT. Galvindo Inti Selaras complies with wastewater quality standards according to Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 5 of 2014 to obtain the optimum type and dosage of flocculants in the treatment of liquid waste from the pickling process. Chemical waste treatment includes flocculation and flocculation methods with the addition of alum and ferrous sulfate flocculants with different flocculant dosages (350, 400, and 450 mg/l) and variations with and without aeration for pretreatment. was carried out by Based on the results of the study, the optimal total iron reduction when using iron sulfate coagulant is 450 mg, the total iron reduction is 28.3 mg/L, and the reduction efficiency is 98.80%, which is was not satisfied. It reduced the TSS (Total Suspended Solid) value to 14mg/l with a reduction efficiency of 98.11%, which corresponds to the wastewater quality standard by PermenLH-No.5 in 2014.

Additional Information: Proses produksi yang dilakukan di industri bersifat kontinyu, termasuk proses produksi di PT. Galvindo Inti Selaras. Dalam proses produksinya, industri yang fokus pada metode pelapisan logam memiliki tahapan atau proses yang dapat menghasilkan limbah baik cair maupun padat yang mengandung senyawa kompleks, salah satunya senyawa logam yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Limbah cair dari salah satu proses yang masuk di PT.Galvindo Inti Selar mengandung Fe dan TSS (Total Suspended Solid) sebesar 14000 mg/l dan 3700 mg/l. Pengolahan air limbah dapat dilakukan secara fisik dan kimia, salah satunya adalah penggunaan proses koagulasi dan flokulasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menurunkan PT. Konsentrasi total Fe dan TSS limbah cair dari proses pickling Galvindo Inti Selara untuk memenuhi PermenLH No. 5 2014 baku mutu air limbah dan mencapai jenis dan dosis yang optimal. Koagulasi dalam pengolahan limbah cair dari proses pengawetan. Pengolahan limbah kimia dilakukan dengan metode koagulasi dan flokulasi dengan penambahan koagulan berbeda Tawas dan besi sulfat dengan dosis koagulan (350, 400 dan 450 mg/l) serta dengan variasi aerasi dan tanpa aerasi pada pretreatment. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditentukan bahwa penurunan konsentrasi Fe total terbaik terjadi melalui penggunaan koagulan besi sulfat hingga 450 mg, dalam hal ini konsentrasi Fe total berkurang menjadi 28,3 mg/L dan penurunan pengurangan efisiensi adalah 98,80% untuk mencapai kualitas. Standar dan menurunkan nilai TSS (Total Suspended Solids) menjadi 14 mg/l menurunkan efisiensi reduksi sebesar 98,11%, memenuhi baku mutu air limbah PermenLH-No.5 tahun 2014.
