Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most essential sector in Indonesia. Many people depend on rice as their daily source of calories. That is why rice farming is necessary. But it is often seen that farmers usually suffer from poverty. Often times they have to resort to selling their lands to provide food for their family. Thus, conversion of lands is unavoidable. And it is one of the main problems Indonesia face, as farming began to cease overtime. And that is not an exception to Tangerang Regency, which has been seen declining on farming land. The purpose of this research is to understand whether if (1) size of land, (2) capital, and (3) quantity of produce affect farmers income. The method used to get data is from survey, with the acciedental sampling. The location is in Pekayon Village, Tangerang regency. The analysis used is double linear regression, and it has already been concluded that size of land and capital affects farmers income significantly, whereas quantity does not. The solution to this problem is to make regulations that protect the farmers and increase farming efficiency Keywords: rice farming, size of lands, capital, quantity of produce, conversion of lands

Kawasan pertanian tanaman pangan dan holtikultura dengan luas kurang lebih 13.720,06 hektar meliputi: Kecamatan Kronjo, Kecamatan Mekar Baru, Kecamatan Sukamulya, Kecamatan Gunung Kaler, Kecamatan Kresek, Kecamatan Mauk, Kecamatan Rajeg, Kecamatan Kemiri, Kecamatan Sukadiri. Salah satu kecamatan yang berpotensi sebagai sentra penghasil padi adalah Kecamatan Sukadiri. Kecamatan Sukadiri terdiri dari 8 desa, memiliki lahan sawah seluas 1635 hektar.
