Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the learning process using the LingoDeer application and the results in students' pronunciation mastery, especially in stressing words. The researcher used a case study qualitative research method using observation, interviews, and documentation as the data collection instrument. The participants in this study were Comprehensive English Course (CEC) basic level students with an average age of 9-10 years. Based on the results of the study, the teaching and learning activities and learning pronunciation using LingoDeer was well implemented in accordance with the lesson plan, and the students' ability in pronunciation increases, especially on words stress. This LingoDeer application can help students improve their English pronunciation. Therefore, researchers recommended the other English teachers to use this application as another alternative for students to learn so they do not get bored.

Additional Information: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi LingoDeer dan hasil penguasaan pengucapan siswa khususnya pada penekanan kata. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa tingkat dasar Comprehensive English Course (CEC) dengan rata-rata usia 9-10 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kegiatan belajar mengajar dan pembelajaran pelafalan menggunakan LingoDeer terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan RPP, dan kemampuan pelafalan siswa meningkat terutama pada penekanan kata. Aplikasi LingoDeer ini dapat membantu siswa meningkatkan pengucapan bahasa Inggris mereka. Oleh karena itu, peneliti merekomendasikan agar guru bahasa Inggris lainnya menggunakan aplikasi ini sebagai alternatif lain bagi siswa untuk belajar agar tidak bosan.
