Abstract
ABSTRACT Milda Aryanti, 7772130031, THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF METHOD-BASED LEARNING PRACTICUM AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOME OF BIOLOGY CLASS X HIGH SCHOOL OF DAAR EL QOLAM, Thesis, Instructional Technology Program, Post graduate Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University, 2014. This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of method based learning practicum and critical thinking skills about the biology students’ learning outcomes. The research was carried out in highschool Daar El Qolam Gintung Jayanti Tangerang from August 2014 untill November 2014. The population in this study all students who were in classes X highschool Daar El Qolam of 112 peoples. Research methods using experimental design by the treatment of the student groups (treatment) using practicum based learning method, whereas for the control class using demonstration method. Data collection techniques to obtain a group of students of high and low critical thinking skills by providing a questionnaire using a scale Likerst, while to obtain data on learning outcomes using achievement test. Techniques of data analysis of data conducted by analysis of variance (ANAVA) with two ways significance 5%. The results are the effect of the use of research method based learning practicum to learning outcomes biology practicum expressed by F count = 27.57 > F table (0.05 (1;24) = 4.26. There is influence, the ability to think critically about the biology of learning outcomes expressed by the results of the F count = 22:12 > F table (0.05 (1;24) = 4.26. There is interaction between practicum based learning methods and the ability to think critically about the biology of learning outcomes, expressed by F count = 5:01 > F table (0.05 (1;24) = 4.26. There is the effect of the use of practicum based learning methods with high critical thinking ability of the biology of learning outcomes, Tukey test results obtained by calculating Q (Q3) = 10 589 > Q table (0.05;4;14) = 4,111. There is the effect of the use of practicum based learning method and critical thinking skills are low on the biology of learning outcomes expressed by Tukey's test obtained by calculating Q (Q8) = 4262 > Q table (0.05;4;14) = 4,111. There is the effect of the use of method based learning practicum with high critical thinking skills and practicum -based learning with the ability to think critically low on the biology of learning outcomes expressed by Tukey test obtained by calculating Q (Q5) = 9815 > Q table (0.05;4;14) = 4,111. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap hasil belajar biologi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MA Daar El Qolam Gintung Jayanti Tangerang dari bulan Agustus 2014 sampai dengan bulan November 2014. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa yang berada di kelas X MA Daar El Qolam yang berjumlah 112 orang. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan perlakuan terhadap kelompok siswa (treatment) menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol menggunakan metode demontrasi. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk memperoleh kelompok siswa yang berpikir kritis tinggi dan rendah dengan cara memberikan angket menggunakan skala likert, sedangkan untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar mengunakan tes akhir. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis varians (ANAVA) dua arah dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran berbasis praktikum terhadap hasil belajar biologi dinyatakan dengan F iv hitung = 27.57 > F (0,05(1;24) = 4,26. Terdapat pengaruh, kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap hasil belajar biologi dinyatakan dengan hasil F hitung = 22.12 > F (0,05(1;24) = 4,26. Terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap hasil belajar biologi, dinyatakan dengan F tabel hitung = 5.01 > F (0,05(1;24) = 4,26. Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi terhadap hasil belajar biologi, hasil uji Tukey diperoleh Q tabel tabel hitung (Q 3 (0,05;4;14) = 4.111. Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah terhadap hasil belajar biologi dinyatakan dengan uji Tukey diperoleh Q hitung (Q 8 tabel ) = 10.589 > Q ) = 4.262 > Q (0,05;4;14) = 4.111. Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi dan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah terhadap hasil belajar biologi dinyatakan dengan uji tukey diperoleh Q hitung (Q 5 ) = 9.815 > Q (0,05;4;14) = 4.111. Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran demontrasi dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi dan rendah terhadap hasil belajar biologi, dinyatakan dalam uji Tukey Q hitung (Q 6 ) = 3.487 < Q (0,05;4;14) = 4.111.
