Level of Difference in Data Journalism News Trust. Advisor I: Yearry Panji Setianto, Ph.D and Advisor II: Puspita Asri Praceka, M.I.Kom. In this era of information disclosure, data journalism can be used seriously because this practice requires a lot of data to be conveyed to readers. Besides being able to be used in the era of information disclosure, data journalism can also improve the quality of a news report because it has high credibility where the data can be directly verified. Quality news due to data journalism is assumed to increase news trust (public trust in the news). The issue of trust is important to study, especially when talking about Covid-19. During the pandemic, it is very important for the media to build or build public trust from the information they convey, especially with data journalism-based reporting. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting experiments to find out whether or not there is a difference and how big is the level of difference in news trust between those who read news based on data journalism and those who read news without data journalism (regular news) about Covid-19 on Tirto.id. In addition, researchers also want to know how the four dimensions of news trust/trust in news media compare to data journalism-based news about Covid-19 on Tirto.id, and which is the most dominant dimension of the four. This research is a quantitative research with experimental method, using data journalism concept, news trust/trust in news media variable, and Stimulus-Organism-Response theory. The experiment was conducted on 50 respondents, consisting of 25 respondents in the experimental group (those who read news journalism based on data journalism) and 25 others in the control group (those who read news without data journalism). The results of this study indicate that there is a difference in news trust between news readers based on data journalism and ordinary news readers (without data journalism) regarding Covid-19 at Tirto.id. Then, from the four dimensions of news trust tested on data journalism-based reporting, it shows that there are differences between the four dimensions, where the dimension of trust in selectivity of topics has the highest value.
