Abstract

Internal communication within a company has an important role in improving employee performance. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how the company's internal communication process is PT FIF Group Cilegon branch, besides that, the process of spreading messages and using the media also needs to be considered so that the information or messages can be conveyed to all employees of PT FIF Group Cilegon branch so that employee performance will increase . The purpose of this study was to find out how the internal communication of PT FIF Group Cilegon branch improves employee performance. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a constructivism paradigm. The theory of this research is organizational communication and the Shannor & Weaver communication model. With interview, observation, and document research techniques. The results of this study are (1) The flow of communication at PT FIF Group Cilegon branch consists of a vertical where there is an intermediary in the communication process, horizontally there is no intermediary in the communication process, and diagonally there are interdepartmental meetings. (2) Dissemination of messages at the PT FIF Group Cilegon branch was carried out using various methods including through rewards, competitions, ko&ko, culture day, training, certification, meetings, and morning prayer “morning talk”. (3) The use of internal communication media of PT FIF Group Cilegon branch in conveying information using various channels namely Whatsapp Group, zoom meeting, survey by google form, PDF, Power Point, and correspondence.

Additional Information: Komunikasi internal dalam suatu perusahaan mempunyai peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Oleh karena itu, perlu untuk memahami bagaimana proses komunikasi internal perusahaan PT FIF Group cabang Cilegon, selain itu, proses penyebaran pesan serta penggunaan media juga perlu diperhatikan agar informasi atau pesan tersebut dapat tersampaikan kepada seluruh karyawan PT FIF Group cabang Cilegon sehingga kinerja karyawan akan meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi internal PT FIF Group cabang Cilegon dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan paradigma kontruktivisme. Teori penelitian ini yaitu komunikasi organisasi dan model komunikasi Shannor & Weaver. Dengan teknik penelitian wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Alur komunikasi di PT FIF Group cabang Cilegon terdiri dari vertical yang terdapat perantara pada proses komunikasinya, horizontal tidak ada perantara dalam proses komunikasinya, dan diagonal terdapat pertemuan antar departement. (2) Penyebaran pesan di PT FIF Group cabang Cilegon dilakukan dengan beragam metode diantaranya melalui, reward, lomba, ko&ko, culture day, training, sertifikasi, meeting, dan doa pagi “morning talk”. (3) Penggunaan media komunikasi internal PT FIF Group cabang Cilegon dalam menyampaikan suatu informasi menggunakan berbagai saluran yaitu Group Whatsapp, zoom meeting, survey by google form, PDF, Power Point, dan surat menyurat.
