Abstract

The concept of magnetic field material is not well understood by students, due to difficulties in visualizing it. So that a skill is needed that can support the ability to visualize magnetic field material, to train these skills requires appropriate learning strategies and media. Therefore the purpose of this study was to develop, determine the feasibility and response of students to acceptance of Visual Thinking Strategy in Augmented Reality (ViTSAR) learning media technology to facilitate visual literacy skills on magnetic field material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate). Through the due diligence conducted by material experts, the overall aspect average score was 6.7 with appropriate criteria and media experts obtained an overall aspect average score of 6.81 with feasible criteria. Meanwhile, the limited trial of 15 semester 3 students of Physics Education at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University showed a good response to technology acceptance with an overall average rating of 6.36. These results indicate that the ViTSAR learning media on magnetic field material is suitable for use as a learning supplement in basic physics II lectures on magnetic field material. Additional Information: Konsep materi medan magnet kurang dipahami oleh mahasiswa, dikarenakan kesulitan dalam memvisualisasikannya. Sehingga dibutuhkan suatu keterampilan yang dapat mendukung kemampuan untuk memvisualisasikan materi medan magnet, untuk melatih keterampilan tersebut dibutuhkan strategi dan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan, mengetahui kelayakan dan respons mahasiswa terhadap penerimaan teknologi media pembelajaran Visual Thinking Strategy in Augmented Reality (ViTSAR) untuk memfasilitasi visual literacy skills pada materi medan magnet. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate). Melalui uji kelayakan yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi memperoleh nilai rata-rata keseluruhan aspek sebesar 6,7 dengan kriteria layak dan ahli media memperoleh nilai rata-rata keseluruhan aspek sebesar 6,81 dengan kriteria layak. Sedangkan uji coba terbatas kepada 15 mahasiswa semester 3 Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa menunjukkan respons yang baik terhadap penerimaan teknologi dengan hasil penilaian rata-rata secara keseluruhan sebesar 6,36. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ViTSAR pada materi medan magnet layak digunakan sebagai suplemen pembelajaran dalam perkuliahan fisika dasar II pada materi medan magnet.
