Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the gallery walk technique improves the writing skills of class X3 students of SMAN 7 Pandeglang. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental research model. Participants in this study were tenth grade students of SMAN 7 Pandeglang. This study used two classes consisting of 29 students in each class. The class consists of an experimental class and a control class. Through the results of the pre-test and post-test, this study found that the use of the gallery walk technique in class can improve the skills of writing announcement texts. The results of the analysis show that the u-test value is higher than the z-table value of 0.00 > 1.96. Thus, the alternative hypothesis is accepted, and it can be concluded that the gallery walk technique for teaching announcement text writing can improve the ability of class X3 students of SMAN 7 Pandeglang
