Abstract
Vocational education is education that press the development of academic abilities and professional skills as a provision to enter the world of work. Things that must be considered in vocational education are the learning process and practice implementation. The teacher is still the only source of information, as the center in the ongoing learning process because the ongoing learning process is still using general methods. Using new learning models such as Predict Observe Explain (POE) to measure effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. This research is a research using quantitative methods. Quantitative research with a quasi experimental design, the data collected in this study can be analyzed using statistical analysis and for sampling using cluster random sampling with a total population of 70 students. The research instruments used were interviews, lesson plans and posttest and pretest questions. Based on the research results obtained, the posttest value for the control class has an average of 74.23 and the experimental class is 81.92 in the subject of electrical lighting installations, so the POE learning model is effectively used. to improve learning outcomes in the subject of electric lighting installations.

| Additional Information: | Pendidikan kejuruan adalah pendidikan yang menekankan pada pengembangan kemampuan akademik dan keterampilan profesional sebagai bekal untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Hal yang harus di perhatikan dalam pendidikan kejuruan yaiu proses pembelajaran dan implementasi praktik. Guru masih sebagai satu-satunnya sumber informasi, sebagai pusat dalam proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung karena proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung masih menggunakan metode umum. Menggunakan model pembelajaran baru seperti Predict Observe Explain (POE) untuk mengukur efektivitas dalam peningkatan hasil belajar.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain quasy exsperiment data yang terkumpul dalam penelitian ini dapat dianlisis menggunakan analisis statistik dan untuk pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan total populasi 70 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang dignakan yaitu wawancara, perencanaan pembelajaran dan soal postes serta prestes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu nilai postes kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata sebesar 74,23 dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,92 dalam mata pelajaran instalasi penerangan listrik, jadi model pembelajaran POE efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dalam mata pelajaran instalasi penerangan listrik. | |||||||||
