Abstract
Aenunnisa 2022. “Profile of Gadget Addiction in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Essay. Guidance and Counseling Deaprtment. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of gadget addiction in FKIP students at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with the subject of 300 5th semester students from 18 majors in FKIP. Data was obtained from filling out questionnaires distributed through Google Forms with data acquisition from every aspect. The scale used in the instrument is the Guttman scale, and to test its validity, it uses the biserial point correlation formula. Determination of the sample of this study was carried out by using Purposive Sampling method. Aspects that have been studied include aspects of Inability to control cravings obtained by 56% in the low category. Anxiety and feeling lost was obtained by 79% in the high category. In the Withdrawal and escape aspect, 42% was obtained in the medium category. And in the aspect of Productivity loss obtained by 53% in the high category. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat kecanduan gawai pada mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek 300 mahasiswa semester 5 dari 18 jurusan yang ada di FKIP. Data diperoleh dari pengisian kuesioner yang dibagikan melalui Google Formulir dengan perolehan data dari setiap aspek. Skala yang digunakan dalam instrument adalah skala Guttman, dan untuk uji validitasnya yaitu menggunakan rumus korelasi point biserial. Penentuan sampel penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan jenis non random sampling dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Aspek yang ditelah diteliti meliputi aspek Inability to control craving diperoleh sebesar 56% dengan kategori rendah. Anxiety and feeling lost diperoleh sebesar 79% dengan kategori tinggi.
