Abstract

On the East Cilegon Access Toll Road, Jalan Bojonegara, Cilegon City, there is an intersection known as the East Cilegon Toll Intersection. Due to heavy traffic, these unsignalized intersections often have back up and long lines. Often drivers don't follow the rules and fight for space on the road, so drivers tend to overtake. To overcome traffic disturbances that occur at the East Cilegon Toll Intersection, a study is needed to analyze the performance of the East Cilegon Toll Intersection. The research was carried out with a field survey to then get the necessary traffic and geometric data analyzed according to (PKJI) 2014. Traffic flow information from busy days was used in this investigation. The results of the research at the East Cilegon Toll Gate intersection for existing conditions show a degree of saturation (DJ) of 1.22, Delay of 46 sec/cur and Queue Opportunity of 61% - 124% which is the limit set by PKJI 2014 which is exceeded for signalless intersections (DJ ≤ 0 , 85). To improve the performance of the East Cilegon Toll Intersection several alternatives are used. Alternative I for unsignalized intersections by installing Prohibition Stop Signs produces DJ = 1.2 Alternative II for unsignalized intersections by changing the geometry of the minor and major roads produces DJ = 1.17. Alternative III is to add APILL and expand the geometry of the minor and major roads to produce DJ = 0.77. Of the three alternatives above, alternative III was chosen because it has the lowest DJ.

Additional Information: Di Jalan Tol Akses Cilegon Timur Jalan Bojonegara Kota Cilegon terdapat sebuah persimpangan yang dikenal dengan Simpang Tol Cilegon Timur. Karena lalu lintas padat, persimpangan tak bersinyal ini sering memiliki cadangan dan garis panjang. Seringkali pengemudi tidak mengikuti aturan dan memperebutkan ruang di jalan, sehingga pengemudi cenderung menyalip. Untuk mengatasi gangguan lalu lintas yang terjadi di Simpang Tol Cilegon Timur diperlukan kajian untuk menganalisis kinerja Simpang Tol Cilegon Timur. Penelitian tersebut dilakukan dengan survei lapangan untuk kemudian mendapatkan lalu lintas dan data geometris yang diperlukan dianalisis menurut (PKJI) 2014. Informasi arus lalu lintas dari hari-hari sibuk digunakan dalam investigasi ini. Hasil penelitian simpang Pintu Tol Cilegon Timur untuk kondisi eksisting menunjukkan derajat kejenuhan (DJ) 1,22, Tundaan 46 det/skr dan Peluang Antrian sebesar 61 % - 124 % yang merupakan batas yang ditetapkan PKJI 2014 terlampaui untuk simpang tak bersinyal (DJ ≤ 0,85). Untuk meningkatkan kinerja Simpang Tol Cilegon Timur digunakan beberapa alternative. Alternatif I simpang tak bersinyal dengan melakukan Pemasangan Rambu Larangan Berhenti menghasilkan DJ = 1,2 Alternatif II simpang tak bersinyal dengan mengubah geometri jalan minor dan mayor menghasilkan DJ = 1,17. Alternatif III adalah menambahkan APILL dan memperluas geometri jalan minor dan mayor menghasilkan DJ = 0,77. Dari tiga alternatif diatas, alternatif III dipilih karena memiliki DJ terendah.
