Abstract

The icebreaker is used to create a learning atmosphere from passive to active, from rigid to motion and from boring to fun. There are several types of ice-breaking activities that can be used, including yelling, games, singing, clapping, humor, and physical activity. This study aimed to determine the implementation and benefits of ice-breaking learning. This study uses qualitative research design as the methodology. Observation and documentation are methods used to collect data. The analysis process, including data minimization, data presentation, and conclusion/verification, is based on the theory of Rotua Hutasoit and Bonari Tambunan. The advantage of learning through ice is that the activity can be practiced and learned by everyone without special skills and tools, can create a fun and informal atmosphere as well. such as feelings of happiness among students, as well as between educators and students.

Additional Information: Ice breaker digunakan untuk menciptakan suasana belajar dari pasif menjadi aktif, dari kaku menjadi bergerak dan dari membosankan menjadi menyenangkan. Ada beberapa jenis kegiatan ice breaking yang dapat digunakan, antara lain yel-yel, permainan, bernyanyi, bertepuk tangan, humor, dan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi dan manfaat pembelajaran ice breaking. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif sebagai metodologi. Observasi dan dokumentasi adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Proses analisis, termasuk reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan/verifikasi, didasarkan pada teori Rotua Hutasoit dan Bonari Tambunan. Kelebihan dari pembelajaran melalui es adalah kegiatan tersebut dapat dipraktekkan dan dipelajari oleh semua orang tanpa keahlian dan alat khusus, dapat menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan dan juga informal, seperti perasaan bahagia di antara peserta didik, serta antara pendidik dan peserta didik.
