Abstract
ABSTRACT This research was aims to know the motivation of the student learning on the concept of biodiversity with learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning and students cognitive ability on the concept of biodiversity with learning model of Contextual Teaching and Learning. Research methods used in this research is descriptive method with the correlational technique. The research design used was correlational. Learning motivation as variables free, and students cognitive ability as a variable bound. The population in this research is the whole grade X in SMA Negeri 1 Cikande year2014/2015 lessons. Samples taken from a class that derives from class X SCIENCE 1.The technique of sampling conducted in purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using question form, and test objectives. Data analysis techniques using the analysis of the correlation. The results showed that the correlation between the variable X (learning motivation) with the variable Y (cognitive ability) isequal to 0,528. It can be inferred that there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and cognitive ability of students of class X on the concept of biodiversity by using Contextual Teaching and Learning model. | Additional Information: | ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning dan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik korelasional. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional. Motivasi belajar sebagai variabel bebas, dan kemampuan kognitif siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Cikande tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel diambil dari satu kelas yang berasal dari kelas X IPA 1. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes objektif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa nilai korelasi antara variabel X (motivasi belajar) dengan variabel Y (kemampuan kognitif) adalah sebesar 0,528. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas X pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati dengan menggunakan model Contextual Teaching and Learning.
