Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Youtube on the social interaction abilities of children aged 5-6 years in Gerogol District, Cilegon City, Banten. This research was conducted using a quantitative method with a type of survey, using questionnaires and documentation as data collection techniques. The population in this study were children aged 5-6 years who were registered as students in 4 early childhood education units in Gerogol District using a purposive sampling technique as a sampling technique, namely 100 children. This sampling involved parents of children. The results of the study showed that the use of Youtube has an effect on the social interaction abilities of children aged 5-6 years. It can be seen from the results of testing the hypothesis obtained a significance value of 0.000. Because the results of the significance value are 0.000 <0.05, it is concluded that there is an effect of using Youtube on the social interaction abilities of children aged 5-6 years in Gerogol District, Cilegon-Banten H1 or the first hypothesis is accepted.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Youtube terhadap kemampuan interaksi sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kecamatan Gerogol,Kota Cilegon, Banten. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis survei, dengan menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak yang berusia 5-6 tahun yang terdaftar sebagai siswa di 4 lembaga satuan Pendidikan anak usia dini di Kecamatan Gerogol dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebagai teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu berjumlah 100 anak. Pengambilan sampel ini melibatkan orang tua anak. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penggunaan Youtube berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan interaksi sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Karena hasil nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan Youtube terhadap kemampuan interaksi sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kecamatan Gerogol, Cilegon-Banten H1 atau hipotesis pertama diterima.
