Abstract
This study aims to describe the strategies used in the expressive speech of apology and the implicature resulting from the expressive speech of apology in the soap opera Ikatan Cinta episodes from October to November 2020. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique used is listening method with tapping technique (involved free listening technique) and note taking technique. The source of the data in this study is the utterances in the soap opera Ikatan Cinta episodes from October to November 2020. The data in this study are utterances that contain expressive speeches of apology with the strategies used and the resulting implicatures. Based on the results of data analysis, 81 data of expressive illocutionary speech acts of apology and their strategies and implicatures were obtained. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) an indirect apology strategy of 46 data and produces 3 data of conventional implicature and 43 data of non-conventional implicature, (2) a direct apology strategy of 30 data and produces conventional implicature as much as 1 data and non-conventional implicature as much as 29 data, and (3) strategy of apology by trying to improve as much as 5 data and produce non-conventional implicatures.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi yang digunakan dalam tuturan ekspresif permohonan maaf dan implikatur yang dihasilkan dari tuturan ekspresif permohonan maaf dalam sinetron Ikatan Cinta episode bulan Oktober – November 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak dengan teknik sadap (teknik simak bebas libat cakap) dan teknik catat. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan dalam sinetron Ikatan Cinta episode bulan Oktober – November 2020. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan yang mengandung tuturan ekspresif permohonan maaf dengan strategi yang digunakan dan implikatur yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh 81 data tindak tutur ilokusi ekspresif permohonan maaf beserta strateginya dan implikaturnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dikemukakan simpulan sebagai berikut: (1) strategi permohonan maaf secara tidak langsung sebanyak 46 data dan menghasilkan implikatur konvensional sebanyak 3 data dan implikatur non konvensional sebanyak 43 data, (2) strategi permohonan maaf secara langsung sebanyak 30 data dan menghasilkan implikatur konvensional sebanyak 1 data dan implikatur non konvensional sebanyak 29 data, dan (3) strategi permohonan maaf dengan usaha memperbaiki sebanyak 5 data dan menghasilkan implikatur non konvensional. | |||||||||
