Abstract
Aluminum extrusion machines are linked with extrusion welding machines as a tool for creating connections on aluminum extrusion profiles using solid state welding. Extrusion welding machines are used on aluminum extrusion panels. The technique is known as pahl and beitz. Obtaining the specifications of each component required in developing extrusion welding machines on aluminum extrusion panels is the goal of this research, which aims to determine the optimal design option for such machine tools. The best variant, according to the design process, is variant 5, in which welding uses solid state welding, temperature control uses a thermocouple, and billet pressing uses hydraulics from a power pack. According to the specifications based on the calculated results, the frame has the following dimensions: 1715 x 425 x 892 mm, the inner diameter of the chamber is 32 mm, the outer diameter is 60 mm, the heating power needed to heat an extrusion welding machine to 5000C in 120 seconds is 266.25 Watt, and the pressure needed by the ram to push the aluminum billet is 86.6 Bar. Additional Information: | Mesin extrusion welding pada panel ekstrusi aluminium adalah mesin ekstrusi aluminium yang dipasangkan mesin extrusion welding sebagai alat untuk melakukan proses sambungan pada profil ekstrusi aluminium dengan menggunakan pengelasan solid state welding. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pahl and beitz. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendapatkan varian terbaik dari perancangan alat mesin extrusion welding pada panel ekstrusi aluminium, mendapatkan spesifikasi dari masing-masing komponen yang dibutuhkan dalam rancangan mesin extrusion welding pada panel ekstrusi aluminium. Dari proses perancangan yang didapat, varian terbaik yaitu pada varian 5 yang dimana penekan billet menggunakan hidrolik dari power pack, pengelasan menggunakan solid state welding, dan pengatur temperature menggunakan thermocouple. Dari spesifikasi berdasarkan hasil perhitunga yang didapat yaitu ukuran dimensi kerangka 1715 x 425 x 892 mm, ukuran diameter dalam chamber 32mm, uikuran diameter luar chamber 60mm, daya pemanas yang diperlukan untuk mencapai temperature 500⁰C dalam waktu 120 detik yang dibutuhkan untuk mesin extrusion welding yaitu 266,25 Watt, dan tekanan yang dibutuhkan ram untuk mendorong billet aluminium yaitu 86,6 Bar.
