Abstract

The 21st century is marked by advances in scientific and technology. However, these advances also come with significant challenges for each individual in solving the problems that occur. Therefore, education plays an important role in the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to prepare responsible younger generation for the future. ESD in chemistry learning can be applied in polymer topic by linking the principles of green chemistry. Along with the current environmental problems, students can create a sustainable project that benefits the environment. One of the learning models which implement the projects is project based learning model. The purpose of this research is to develop a green and sustainable chemistry electronic module (e-module) on polymer topic based on project based learning model. This study was conducted with 10 randomly selected students. The data collection technique was conducted using student response questionnaires and validator assessment sheets that was analyzed by Aiken. The minimum value of Vtable Aiken for 5 validators and 5 categories is 0.80. The research results get Vcount of 0.93 in the content aspect, 0.95 in the presentation aspect, then 0.94 in the graphic aspect and 0.89 in the linguistic aspect. All values of Vcount > Vtable (0.80) mean that the results of the validation of the material and media are considered valid. Then, student responses were analyzed in a descriptive way, which gave an average score of 90% in the material aspect, 86.38% in the display and layout aspect and 86% in the motivational aspect. This result shows that the use of e-module media that has been developed shows good results.

Additional Information: Abad-21 ditandai dengan adanya kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Namun, kemajuan ini juga diiringi dengan tantangan yang cukup besar bagi setiap individu dalam memecahkan permasalahan yang terjadi. Maka dari itu, pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam menerapkan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda yang bertanggungjawab di masa depan. ESD dalam pembelajaran kimia dapat diterapkan dalam materi polimer dengan menghubungkan prinsip-prinsip green chemistry. Seiring dengan permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi saat ini, peserta didik diharapkan bisa menciptakan suatu proyek berkelanjutan yang bermanfaat bagi lingkungan. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang menerapkan proyek yaitu project based learning. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul elektronik (e-modul) green and sustainable chemistry berbasis project based learning pada materi polimer. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan sampel 10 siswa yang dipilih secara random. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket respon siswa dan lembar instrumen penilaian validator yang dianalisis dengan Aiken. Nilai minimum Vtabel Aiken untuk 5 validator dan 5 kategori adalah 0,80. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan Vhitung yaitu 0,93 pada aspek isi kemudian 0,95 pada aspek penyajian lalu 0,94 pada aspek kegrafikan dan 0,89 pada aspek kebahasaan. Semua nilai Vhitung > Vtabel (0,80) artinya hasil validasi materi dan media tersebut dinyatakan valid. Kemudian respon siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif menghasilkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 90% pada aspek materi, 86,38% pada aspek tampilan dan penyajian serta 86% pada aspek motivasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media e-modul yang telah dikembangkan menunjukkan hasil sangat baik.
