Abstract
Water is a basic human need in meeting their needs. One alternative to overcome the shortage of clean water is by using a Single Slope distillation apparatus, this tool is able to work to produce clear water by putting water into a basin and heating the water using solar energy then the water will evaporate to produce clear water. The microcontroller in this study uses Arduino Mega as a system controller from sensors and as a regulator for automatic water faucet systems. In this study using a continuous filling system of 0.2 cm, 0.5 cm and 1 cm with a batch system where the results of distilled water in each variation of the tests performed showed different results in each test. For the 0.2 cm continuous filling system, an average yield of 522 ml/day was obtained with an efficiency of 40.77%, a 0.5 cm continuous filling system obtained an average yield of 603.4 ml/day with an efficiency of 47.37%. and the 1 cm continuous filling system obtained an average yield of 522 ml/day with an efficiency of 52.35% while the batch system had an average water volume of 585.4 ml/day with an efficiency of 45.95%. Thus in this study the best performance to produce the best distillation in the 1 cm continuous filling system.
