Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Resource Based Learning (RBL) learning model on motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students on the concept of environmental change. This research is a type of quasi-experimental research using the Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X MAN 2 Cilegon City for the 2021/2022 academic year with the research sample namely class X MIPA 2 as the experimental class and X MIPA 3 as the control class. The sampling technique was carried out by random sampling. Data collection techniques used test techniques in the form of multiple choice and non-test in the form of questionnaires on student learning motivation. The data hypothesis analysis technique uses hypothesis testing such as the normality test, homogeneity test, and the manova test. The average value of the cognitive abilities of the experimental class students was 76.38 while the average value of the cognitive abilities of the control class students was 64.86. The average value of students' learning motivation in the experimental class was 75 while the average value of students' learning motivation in the control class was 73.38. The results of hypothesis testing using the Manova test with a significance level of α = 0.05, obtained a value of 0.000 <0.05 H0 is rejected while H1 is accepted. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Resource Based Learning (RBL) learning model on students' motivation and cognitive learning outcomes in the concept of environmental change in class X at MAN 2 Cilegon City. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperiment yang menggunakan desain penelitian Post-Test Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kota Cilegon tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes berupa pilihan ganda dan non-test berupa angket motivasi belajar siswa. Teknik analisis hipotesis data menggunakan uji hipotesis seperti uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji manova. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas eksperimen 76.38 sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas kontrol 64.86. Nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa kelas eksperimen 75 sedangkan nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa kelas kontrol 73.38. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Manova dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0.05, diperoleh nilai 0.000 < 0.05 H0 ditolak sedangkan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil uji tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Resource Based Learning (RBL) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada konsep perubahan lingkungan kelas X di MAN 2 Kota Cilegon.
