Abstract

The citronella plant is a plant from the Gramineae or grass group, the citronella plant is used as a distillation that produces an essential oil called citronella oil. Cultivation of citronella plants has limitations so it requires soil improvement materials and plant nutrient sources in cultivation activities. The source of nutrients that can be used is fertilizer, in this study, Moringa leaf liquid organic fertilizer was used. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of citronella plant growth to the application of several doses of liquid organic fertilizer Moringa leaves. This research was carried out from November 2021 to February 2022 at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Karang Kitri, Cikuya Village, Sindangsari, Districts. Pabuaran, Serang, Banten, and the Laboratory of Soil and Agroclimate, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The materials used in this study were Moringa leaves, Effective Microorganisms 4, rice water and sugar water. This type of research is experimental research, the data were analyzed. The experimental design in this study was a randomized block design with a single factor, namely the response to several doses of Moringa leaf liquid organic fertilizer, consisting of levels: (control), (100 ml/l/plot), (200 ml/l/plot), (300 ml/ l/ plot), (400 ml/ l/ plot), (500 ml/ l/ plot). Each treatment was repeated four times. Spraying application is carried out every two weeks according to the treatment dose. The results showed that the results on the number of tillers aged 6 WAP had a significant effect with an average of 3.51 stems, while on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers aged 2. 4, 8, 10, 12, and 14 WAP, weight shoot dry weight, root dry weight, and leaf fresh weight had no significant effect.

Additional Information: Tanaman serai wangi merupakan tanaman dari kelompok Gramineae atau rumput-rumputan, tanaman serai wangi digunakan sebagai penyulingan yang menghasilkan minyak atsiri yang disebut minyak serai wangi. Budidaya tanaman serai wangi memiliki keterbatasan sehingga membutuhkan bahan pembenah tanah dan sumber hara tanaman dalam kegiatan budidaya. Sumber unsur hara yang dapat digunakan adalah pupuk, pada penelitian ini digunakan pupuk organik cair daun kelor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan tanaman serai wangi terhadap aplikasi beberapa dosis pupuk organik cair daun kelor. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2021 sampai dengan Februari 2022 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Karang Kitri, Desa Cikuya, Kecamatan Sindangsari. Pabuaran, Serang, Banten, dan Laboratorium Tanah dan Agroklimat, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah daun kelor, Effective Microorganisms 4, air beras dan air gula. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, data dianalisis. Rancangan percobaan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan faktor tunggal yaitu respon terhadap beberapa dosis pupuk organik cair daun kelor yang terdiri dari taraf: (kontrol), (100 ml/l/petak), (200 ml/petak). l/petak), (300 ml/ l/ petak), (400 ml/ l/ petak), (500 ml/ l/ petak). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali. Aplikasi penyemprotan dilakukan setiap dua minggu sekali sesuai dosis pengobatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pada jumlah anakan umur 6 MST berpengaruh nyata dengan rata-rata 3,51 batang, sedangkan pada parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan umur 2. 4, 8, 10, 12, dan 14 MST, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar, dan bobot segar daun tidak berpengaruh nyata.
