Abstract
Understanding patterns is one of the developmental domains in logical-mathematical thinking, understanding patterns is important to be taught in early childhood because understanding patterns is the basis of knowledge about mathematics at the next level. The ability to recognize the concept of patterns can be understood well if the media used by the teacher varies and provides the right stimulation. This research aims to determine the effect of loose parts media on the ability to recognize pattern concepts in children aged 4-5 years. This research uses quantitative method (Quasi Experiment) with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research used two samples, namely the experimental group and the control group, each of which consisted of 15 children aged 4-5 years, and were given different treatments. Based on the results of data analysis using parametric statistics with a t-test in the form of a paired sample t-test in the experimental group, the sig value is known. (2 tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, so there is a significant effect, with the average posttest value in the experimental group of 40.26 from the pretest of 35.46. So it can be concluded that loose parts media affect the ability to recognize the concept of patterns of children aged 4-5 years.

| Additional Information: | Pemahaman pola merupakan salah satu ranah perkembangan dalam pemikiran logis-matematis, pemahaman pola penting diajarkan pada anak usia dini karena pemahaman pola merupakan dasar dari pengetahuan mengenai matematika pada jenjang berikutknya. Kemampuan mengenal konsep pola dapat dipahami dengan baik jika media yang digunakan oleh guru bervariasi serta pemberian stimulasi yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media loose parts terhadap kemampuan mengenal konsep pola pada anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif (Quasi Eksperimen) dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua sampel yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yang masing-masing terdiri dari 15 anak usia 4-5 tahun, serta diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan statistic parametric dengan uji-t berupa uji paired sample t-test pada kelompok eksperimen diketahui nilai sig. (2 tailed) bernilai 0,000 < 0,05 maka adanya pengaruh yang signifikan, dengan nilai rata-rata postest pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 40,26 dari pretest nya 35,46 . Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media loose parts berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan mengenal konsep pola anak usia 4-5 tahun. | |||||||||
