Abstract

This study aims to develop and find out the feasibility of geometric optical physics props for the formation of shadows by mirrors. The developed geometric optical props have the main components, namely concave and convex mirrors. The research method used in this study is a research and development method (Research and Development) with an ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The data collection instrument consists of a material expert validation sheet, a media expert validation sheet, and a student response questionnaire. The feasibility of the props obtained the results of the media validation test with an average value of 78.4% with a decent category, and the results of the material validation test with an average value of 86.7% with a very decent category. The results of the student response test on high school class XI students by obtaining an average score of 80.35% with a good category. All props experts stated that geometric optical props products are worthy of use as a learning medium and get a positive response from students.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan alat peraga fisika optik geometris pembentukan bayangan oleh cermin. Alat peraga optik geometris yang dikembangkan memiliki kompenen utama, yaitu cermin cekung dan cembung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli materi, lembar validasi ahli media, dan angket respon siswa . Kelayakan pada alat peraga memperoleh hasil uji validasi media dengan nilai rata rata sebesar 78,4% dengan kategori layak, dan hasil uji validasi materi dengan nilai rata rata sebesar 86,7% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji respon siswa pada peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) kelas XI dengan memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 80,35%% dengan kategori baik. Seluruh ahli alat peraga menyatakan bahwa produk alat peraga optic geometris layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dan mendapatkan respon positif dari peserta didik.
