Abstract

The availability of raw materials is a must in order to ensure smooth production process. PT Lotte Chemical Titan Nusantara experienced problems with availability of raw materials. Calculation of raw materials resulted in value that was not optimal, inventories of ethylene 9,174 MT and butene-1 7,891 MT resulting shortage of raw material inventories. The approach used in research is quantitative approach which produces optimal control of raw materials using proposed model the back order Q model. The inventory control model developed through the back order Q model has four decision variables and one objective function. Model decision variables total inventory (q0), reorder point (r), safety stock (Ss) and service level (Tp). The objective function model is inventory cost. The results of development the back order Q model inventory control provide an optimal solution for company because is able to optimize the cost of ethylene IDR 3,207,748,552,882 and butene-1 IDR 3,753,832,528,638. With a total inventory 15,665 MT of ethylene and 12,991 MT and butene-1. For the service level of ethylene 99.336% and butene-1 99.486%. The reorder point (r) of ethylene is 12,253 MT and butene-1 is 9,448 MT. The safety stock (Ss) for ethylene 6,170 MT and butene-1 4,896 MT.

Additional Information: Ketersediaan bahan baku yang tepat menjadi suatu keharusan demi menjamin kelancaran proses produksi. PT Lotte Chemical Titan Nusantara mengalami permasalahan ketersediaan bahan baku.
