Abstract

Binuangeun Beach has a variety of coastal ecosystems, including seagrass ecosystems. The seagrass types in Binuangeun Beach are Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii and Halodule uninervis with a seagrass covering 47.93%. One of the seagrass problems found in Binuangeun Beach is the existence of anthropogenic activities such as tourism, fishing, and aquaculture. This research aims to study the morphology, morphometrics, and meristics of seagrass and their relation to anthropogenic activities around Binuangeun Beach in Banten Province. This research was conducted in March 2022. Research methods carried out identification, morphology, morphometrics, and meristic of seagrass. This research has 6 locations. Seagrass collection data stations determining with the purposive sampling method and collect data using a transect quadrant. The morphometric parameters of seagrass were leaf length, leaf width, root length, and rhizome length and the meristic parameter was the number of seagrass leaves. The results of the research found 4 seagrass species, namely Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila uninervis, and Halophila pinifolia. The seagrass morphology was found significantly different. Seagrass morphometrics of T. hemprichii has the highest value for parameters of leaf length (31.6-160 mm), leaf width (2.7-10.6 mm), and rhizome length (11.9-74.5 mm). The seagrass species of H. pinifolia has the highest root length (58.6-79.6 mm), and the number of leaves (3-10 strands). The existence of anthropogenic activities has not affected the morphology of seagrass. However, anthropogenic activities affect the morphometric and meristic of seagrass as parameter leaf length, leaf width, and the number of leaves. Additional Information: Pantai Binuangeun memiliki beragam ekosistem pesisir, termasuk padang lamun ekosistem. Jenis lamun di Pantai Binuangeun adalah Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii dan Halodule uninervis dengan luasan lamun 47,93%. Salah satu permasalahan lamun yang terdapat di Pantai Binuangeun adalah keberadaannya kegiatan antropogenik seperti pariwisata, perikanan, dan budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkajii morfologi, morfometrik, dan meristik lamun serta sifatnya kaitannya dengan aktivitas antropogenik di sekitar Pantai Binuangeun di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2022. Metode penelitian dilakukan identifikasi, morfologi, morfometri, dan meristik lamun. Penelitian ini memiliki 6 lokasi. Penetapan stasiun data pengumpulan lamun dengan metode purposive sampling dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuadran transek. Parameter morfometrik lamun adalah panjang daun, lebar daun, panjang akar, dan panjang rimpang dan parameter meristik adalah jumlah daun lamun. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 4 jenis lamun yaitu Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila uninervis, dan Halophila pinifolia. Morfologi lamun ditemukan berbeda secara signifikan. Morfometri Lamun T. hemprichii memiliki nilai tertinggi untuk parameter panjang daun (31,6-160 mm), daun lebar (2,7-10,6 mm), dan panjang rimpang (11,9-74,5 mm). Spesies lamun dari H. pinifolia memiliki panjang akar tertinggi (58,6-79,6 mm), dan jumlah daun terbanyak (3-10 helai). Adanya aktivitas antropogenik tidak mempengaruhi morfologi lamun. Namun, aktivitas antropogenik mempengaruhi morfometrik dan meristik lamun sebagai parameter panjang daun, lebar daun, dan jumlah daun.
