Abstract
ABSTRACT This research was carried out in Purwakarta district of Cilegon. Respondents research totalling 15 people which is the golden melon farmer apollo Purwakarta district. The research was carried out with the purpose to analyze the factors that affect the production of farming melon golden apollo and know the level of efficiency of production factors on the golden melon farming apollo in Purwakarta district of Cilegon. Deciding the respondents carried out by the census data collection methods, using the techniques of observation, interview and questionnaire filling. Data processing method and technique analysis of the CobbDouglas. The results of the test F count larger than F table that this indicates that production factor use jointly influential significant. t-test analysis results the use of factors of production labor, manure and the seed value t calculate is greater than t table then the influential golden melon farming significantly to apollo, while the use of NPK fertilizer and land area less than t table then no effect significant. Results of the analysis of the efficiency of the use of factors of production of land area (14.0), manure (15.8), and seeds (5.1) has a value of efficiency of greater than 1, this means that the use of factors of production is not yet efficiently, while the value of efficiency of Labor (0,56) and NPK fertilizers (1.8) is less than 1, this means the use of factors of production is inefficient.
