Abstract
ABSTRACT Muhammad Faizal. NIM. 6662160101. The Effect of Smartphone Use on Students' Learning Motivation at SMAN 1 Malingping. Advisor 1: Dr.Idi Dimyati, M.I.Kom Advisor 2: Muhamad Jaiz, S.Sos, M.Pd Communication Science Study Program. Faculty of Social Science and Political Science. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This research is motivated by the situation where the behavior of children who are already addicted to smartphones can directly interfere with learning motivation and make it difficult for them to concentrate on learning. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Malingping. The method used in this research is quantitative. The number of samples in this study were 55 respondents with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Research data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 software. The results of the study show that the use of smartphones influences students' learning motivation. Based on the test results using condition 1, the value obtained is 0.000, then 0.000 <0.05 so the hypothesis is tested. This is based on the statement of respondents that through smartphones they can access information in learning anytime and anywhere so that it really helps students in terms of learning. Then, through their smartphone, they can use the internet to get updated information, so they are not left behind with the latest information. On the motivational aspect, based on the statements of the respondents, they want to show their learning outcomes, so that they have the motivation to succeed in learning by achieving achievements.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh situasi perilaku anak-anak yang sudah tercandu dengan smartphone secara langsung bisa mengganggu motivasi belajar dan membuat mereka sulit untuk berkonsentrasi dalam belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA N 1 Malingping. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel dalam penelian ini sebanyak 55 responden dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Data hasil penelitian di analisis menggunakan software SPSS 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan smartphone berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji pada dengan menggunakan ketentuan 1, nilai yang diperoleh adalah 0,000, maka 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga hipotesis teruji. Hal ini berdasarkan pernyataan responden bahwa melalui smartphone mereka dapat mengakses informasi dalam pembelajaran kapanpun dan dimanapun sehingga sangat membantu siswa dalam hal pembelajaran. Kemudian, melalui smartphone mereka dapat menggunakan internet untuk mendapatkan update informasi, sehingga mereka tidak tertinggal informasi terkini. Pada aspek motivasi berdasarkan pernyataan responden ingin menunjukan hasil belajar mereka, sehingga mereka memiliki motivasi untuk berhasil dalam belajar dengan meraih prestasi. | |||||||||
