Abstract
The development of the digital industry is currently very fast, the use of personal data is increasing. This includes the use of personal data that can be at risk of being leaked, as well as harming the public. For example the case of misuse of personal data which is a violation of a person's personal right to obtain confidential information about him. Legal protection against consumers piracy of cellular card numbers SIMcard piracy which results in bank account break-ins based on Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and Legal Consequences for consumers of misuse of one's personal data based on the law that governs. The method used is normative juridical, descriptive research specifications, data analysis used is secondary data and the theory used is the theory of consumer legal protection and the theory of legal certainty. Regarding consumer rights and obligations of business actors, it is regulated in Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, in theory, consumer rights and obligations of business actors have been regulated. However, the implementation/implementation has not been carried out optimally, which occurs. If there is no response to the complaints made by consumers on consumer disputes, they can file a civil lawsuit (litigation) IPMH and demand compensation based on unlawful acts. In this case, the telecommunications and banking service providers must carry out their obligations as business actors to periodically improve the security system in the network so that there is no opportunity for someone to commit a crime.
