Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the group investigation learning model on historical thinking ability learning Indonesian History in class XI at SMA Negeri 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. The research method used in this study is quasi-experimental. Sampling is carried out through nonprobability sampling techniques. The research was conducted on July 21, 2022 – August 25, 2022. The results of the study are as follows; (1) there is an influence of the group investigation learning model on the historical thinking ability of students, hypothesis testing through a two-party t-test using a polled variant formula obtained a value of t_count = 3.70 > t_table = 1.987 with α = 0.05, (2) the historical thinking ability of students using the group investigation model is higher than that of students who use the Discovery Learning model. The average postest score of the experimental class = 77.86 and the control class = 66.50 showed that the experimental class had an average difference of 11.36 higher than the control class. Indicators: a) analyzing causation, b) recording data / information / historical sources and c) using and analyzing historical sources experiencing significant changes and increases in terms of before and after the treatment of the group investigation learning model in the form of transformation from the idea of causation to learning materials, analysis at the discussion stage, and compiling reports according to the selected topic with various forms of media. Hypothesis testing through a one-party t-test with a variant polled formula, obtained t_count= 3.70 > t_table= 1.67 with α= 0.05. The group investigation learning model can be used as a reference in the learning process of Indonesian History to improve historical thinking skills, especially in: a) identifying continuity and change, b) analyzing cause and effect, c) building historical significance, d) recording data / information / historical sources, e) using and analyzing historical sources, f) designing historical research, and g) reporting research results on basic competencies 3.1 "Analyzing the process of entry and development of European colonization (Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, English) to Indonesia". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir historis dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia kelas XI di SMA Negeri 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik nonprobability sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 Juli 2022 – 25 Agustus 2022. Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut; (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir historis peserta didik, pengujian hipotesis melalui uji-t dua pihak menggunakan rumus polled varian diperoleh nilai t_hitung = 3,7 > t_tabel 1,987 dengan α= 0,05, (2) kemampuan berpikir historis peserta didik yang menggunakan model group investigation lebih tinggi dari pada peserta didik yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Perolehan rata-rata nilai postest kelas eksperimen = 77,86 dan kelas kontrol = 66,50 menunjukan kelas eksperimen memiliki selisih rata-rata sebesar 11,36 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Indikator: a) menganalisis sebab akibat, b) merekam data/informasi/sumber sejarah dan c) menggunakan dan menganalisis sumber sejarah mengalami perubahan dan kenaikan yang signifikan dilihat dari sebelum dan sesudah adanya perlakuan dari model pembelajaran group investigation berupa transformasi dari gagasan sebab akibat kepada materi pembelajaran, analisis pada tahap diskusi, dan menyusun laporan sesuai topik yang dipilih dengan berbagai bentuk media cetak. Pengujian hipotesis melalui uji t-satu pihak dengan rumus polled varian, diperoleh t_hitung = 3,70 > t_tabel 1,67 dengan α= 0,05. Model Pembelajaran group investigation dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam proses pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir historis, terutama dalam: a) mengidentifikasi kesinambungan dan perubahan, b) menganalisis sebab dan akibat, c) membangun arti penting sejarah, d) merekam data/informasi/sumber sejarah, e) menggunakan dan menganalisis sumber sejarah, f) merancang penelitian sejarah, dan g) melaporkan hasil penelitian pada kompetensi dasar 3.1 Menganalisis proses masuk dan perkembangan penjajahan Bangsa Eropa (Portugis, Spanyol, Belanda, Inggris) ke Indonesia.
