Abstract
The application of reward and punishment techniques in developing the disciplinary character of children aged 5-6 years in TK Melati Kragilan has a good role for children, which aims to find out the application of reward and punishment techniques to children aged 5-6 years in TK Melati Kragilan, knowing how to develop disciplinary character of children aged 5-6 years in TK Melati Kragilan, as well as knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors for the application of reward and punishment techniques in developing the disciplinary character of children aged 5-6 years in TK Melati Kragilan. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Subjects in this study were children aged 5-6 years. Data collection techniques through observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Validation was carried out by extending participation, observation persistence, triangulation, member checks, negative case analysis, and referential adequacy. The results of the data analysis stated that: 1) the technique of reward and punishment aged 5-6 years in TK Melati Kragilan had started to develop well; 2) developing the character of discipline in TK Melati Kragilan which has developed well; 3) supporting and inhibiting factors, the supporting factors are a) class teachers who always apply disciplinary habits; b) facilities and infrastructure that support activities. The inhibiting factor is the child's unfavorable emotions or mood. Keywords: Reward and punishment, develop discipline character

Additional Information: | Penerapan teknik reward dan punishment dalam mengembangkan karakter disiplin anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Melati Kragilan ini memiliki peran yang baik bagi anak, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan teknik reward dan punishment anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Melati Kragilan, mengetahui cara mengembangkan karakter disiplin anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Melati Kragilan, serta mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapan teknik reward dan punishment dalam mengembangkan karakter disiplin anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Melati Kragilan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan, catatan lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Validasi dilakukan dengan cara perpanjang keikutsertaan, ketekunan pengamatan, triangulasi, member check, analisis kasus negatif, dan kecukupan referensial. Hasil analisis data menyatakan bahwa: 1) teknik reward dan punishment usia 5-6 tahun di TK Melati Kragilan ini sudah mulai berkembang dengan baik; 2) mengembangkan karakter disiplin di TK Melati Kragilan ini sudah berkembang dengan baik; 3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat, faktor pendukung yaitu a) guru kelas yang selalu menerapkan pembiasaan disiplin; b) sarana dan prasarana yang menunjang kegiatan.
