Abstract

The Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is a learning model that can provide active learning conditions for students by directing students to jointly solve a problem. This researcher aims to find out whether there are differences in critical thinking skills between students who use a scientific approach in elementary schools and to find out whether the critical thinking skills of students who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model are higher than students who use a scientific approach in schools. Base. The subjects of this study were 25 students in class 4A and 25 students in class 4B at SD Negeri Cimuncang Cilik. The research was conducted using a quantitative type method, quasi-experimental. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical test and Independent sample t-test. Based on the descriptive statistical test that there is an average or mean value in the control class posttest of 53.70 and 71.92 in the experimental posttest class. This value can be interpreted that the average experimental class is higher when compared to the average control class. The independent sample test results obtained Sig.(2-tailed) of 0.03 <0.05 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted so that it can be concluded that there are differences in critical thinking skills between students who are treated with the Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) and students who received scientific approach treatment. Additional Information: Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan kondisi belajar aktif kepada peserta didik dengan mengarahkan peserta didik untuk bersama-sama memecahkan suatu masalah. Peneliti ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik di Sekolah Dasar dan untuk mengetahui apakah keterampilan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang menggunakan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik di Sekolah Dasar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 25 peserta didik kelas 4A dan 25 peserta didik kelas 4B di SD Negeri Cimuncang Cilik. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode jenis kuantitatif, kuasi eksperimen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji statistik deskriptif dan uji Independent sample tTest. Berdasarkan uji statistik deskriptif bahwa terdapat nilai rata-rata atau mean pada posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 53,70 dan 71,92 pada kelas posttest eksperimen. Nilai tersebut dapat diartikan pada rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi apabila dibandingkan dengan rata rata kelas kontrol. Hasil uji independent sample test diperoleh Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,03 <0,05 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang mendapat perlakuan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan peserta didik yang mendapat perlakuan pendekatan saintifik.
