Abstract

A rigid and less varied learning approach is one of the causes of low student motivation in learning mathematics. This situation will indirectly have an impact on the low achievement of learning objectives and student learning outcomes of mathematics. Thus, this study aims to determine the effect of the Quizizz-assisted PAIKEM approach on students'learning motivation in learning mathematics. This research is a quantitative-research with a quasi-experimental method with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The variables used in this study, namely the independent variables include the Quizizz-assisted PAIKEM approach and students' learning motivation as the dependent variable. The population in this research are all eighth-grade students of SMPN 1 Kragilan, whose samples are 34 students as the experimental class sample and 34 as the control class sample. Students' learning motivation was measured using a non-test instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire which was declared valid and reliable. Analysis of research data using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Descriptive statistical analysis was conducted to describe the research and to obtain descriptive data. Meanwhile, inferential statistics will test the research hypothesis by using the independent sample t-test. The results of the t-test analysis show that there is a positive influence between the PAIKEM approach and students' learning motivation in learning mathematics, namely by rejecting H0 because the significance (2-tailed) value is 0.000 < 0.05, it shows that there is a significant difference between groups of students whose learning is done with the assisted PAIKEM approach. Quizizz with groups of students whose learning is done with a conventional learning approach. So, it can be concluded that the Quizizz-assisted PAIKEM approach has an effect on students' learning motivation in learning mathematics.

Additional Information: Pendekatan pembelajaran yang kaku dan kurang bervariasi menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Keadaan ini secara tidak langsung akan berdampak pada rendahnya pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan PAIKEM berbantuan Quizizz terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eskperimen berdesain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu variabel bebas meliputi pendekatan PAIKEM berbantuan Quizizz dan motivasi belajar siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi pada riset ini yakni seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kragilan, yang sampelnya ialah 34 siswa sebagai sampel kelas eksperimen dan 34 sebagai sampel kelas kontrol. Motivasi belajar siswa diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen nontes berupa angket tertutup yang sudah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Analisis data riset menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis statistik deskrptif dilakukan untuk menggambarkan riset serta mendapat data deskriptif. Sementara statistik inferensial akan menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil analisis uji-t menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara pendekatan PAIKEM dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika yaitu dengan ditolaknya H0 karena nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 hal itu menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang pembelajarannya dilakukan dengan pendekatan PAIKEM berbantuan Quizizz dengan kelompok siswa yang pembelajarannya dilakukan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga disimpulkan pendekatan PAIKEM berbantuan Quizizz berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika.
