Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of gadgets on the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergartens in Tamansari Cilegon-Banten Village. This study uses quantitative research with ex post facto methods. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study were 72 parents who had children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten in Tamansari Village and the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique where the sample was taken using certain criteria where the number of samples taken was 40 parents. Data analysis techniques were carried out by testing the correlation coefficient, determination coefficient test, simple linear regression and t test. The results of this study indicate that the use of gadgets has a significant effect on children's gross motor development. It can be seen from the results of testing the hypothesis that a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 is obtained and the t value is -7.823, the tcount is 7.823 > ttable 2.021 so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence of the use of gadgets on motor development rough children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten in Tamansari Cilegon-Banten Village.
