Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aim to determine the effect of the use strategy PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) on learning outcomes of students. Dimensions measured include content (cognitive) attitudes (affective) and skill (psychomotor). The method used is a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. This study was conducted at SMAN 4 Pandeglang class XI semester I academic year 2014/2015. The sampling technique used for this study is purposive sampling. Data retrieval research by using essai subjective tests, questionnaires and observation sheets affective. Analysis of the results of hypothesis testing using t-test at significance level α = 0,05. Based on the results of research conducted show that the cognitive abilities is 3,31 into good category, affective abilities is 2,74 and psikomotorik abilities is 3,54 all three are very good category. So it can be concluded that there is influence of the strategy PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) on student learning outcomes. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Aspek yang diukur meliputi aspek konten (kognitif), sikap (afektif) dan keterampilan (psikomotorik). Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 4 Pandeglang kelas XI semester I tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan selama penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian dengan menggunakan tes subjektif berupa soal uraian, angket afektif dan lembar observasi. Hasil analisis hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa kemampuan kognitif siswa yaitu 3,31 dalam kategori baik, kemampuan afektif siswa yaitu 2,74 dan kemampuan psikomotor yaitu 3,54 yang keduanya berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
