Abstract

Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi Ditinjau dari Gaya Kognitif Visualizer dan Verbalizer Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Matematika. Skripsi Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. 2021. Penguasaan indikator-indikator kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satu faktornya yaitu gaya kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengetahui kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi ditinjau dari gaya kognitif visualizer dan verbalizer siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal Matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 6 orang siswa kelas XI MIPA 1. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket gaya kognitif, tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan wawancara. Hasil analisis data menghasilkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa bergaya kognitif visualizer tahap menganalisis tergolong cukup, siswa mampu mengidentifikasi informasi dalam soal tetapi tidak menyebutkan secara lengkap. Pada tahap mengevaluasi tergolong kurang, siswa visualizer kurang mampu menilai, menyangkal dan memberikan alasan. Pada tahap mencipta tergolong cukup, siswa visualizer cukup mampu merancang penyelesaian Namun, kesulitan dalam memvisualisasikan dari bentuk verbal ke bentuk visual.Siswa bergaya kognitif verbalizer tahap menganalisis tergolong sangat baik, siswa verbalizer mampu menganalisis dan menyebutkan informasi secara lengkap. Pada tahap mengevaluasi tergolong kurang, siswa verbalizer kurang mampu menilai, menyangkal dan memberikan alasan. Pada tahap mencipta tergolong baik, siswa verbalizer mampu merancang penyelesaian serta memvisualisasikan bentuk objek dari verbal ke visual.

University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.2021 Mastery of indicators of high levels of thinking ability is influenced by several factors, one of which is cognitive style. This study aims to describe and know the high level of thinking ability reviewed from the cognitive style of visualizers and verbalizer students in solving math problems. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. The research subjects numbered 6 students of grade XI MIPA 1. Research instruments include cognitive style questionnaires, high-level thinking ability tests, and interviews. The results of the data analysis resulted in that the high level of thinking ability in students in the cognitive-style visualizer stage of analyzing was sufficient, students were able to identify the information in the question but did not mention it in full. At the stage of evaluating is classified as lacking, visualizer students are less able to assess, deny and give reasons. At the stage of creating enough, visualizer students are quite able to design solutions, however, the difficulty in visualizing from verbal form to visual form. Students stylish cognitive verbalizer stage analyzing is classified as very good, students verbalizer is able to analyze and mention the complete information. At the stage of evaluating the relatively less, the verbalizer students are less able to assess, deny and give reasons. At the level of creating a relatively good, students verbalizer able to plan the solution as well as visualize the shape of objects from verbal to visual
