Abstract
Melia Puspita Dewi. NIM. 6661142657. Thesis. Strategic Management of Overcoming High Maternal and Infant Mortality Rates by the Lebak District Health Office. Advisor I: Dr. Agus Sjafari, M.Si and Advisor II: Dr. Ipah Ema Jumiati, M.Si. Strategic management is a series of decisions and actions that can be used to formulate and implement strategies that have high competitiveness and are in accordance with the society or the environment in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. The purpose of this research was to determine how the management strategy to overcome the high rate of maternal and infant mortality by the Lebak District Health Office. This research refers to the strategic management process of Hunger and Wheelen in Rahmat (2014:30). The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach and data collection techniques carried out are through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on the results of the study, it shows that strategic management to overcome the high maternal and infant mortality rate in Lebak Regency is still high, this is due to the difficulty of building cooperation between the Health Service or Puskesmas and the society, this is due to the lack of understanding of the society itself, and there are still people who reluctant to have their pregnancy checked, access from their house to health facilities is still difficult and there are still many people who change their residence. The advice is to carry out a continuous approach both from the Health Office and Puskesmas to the society and to socialize to them, especially for pregnant women. Manajemen strategi merupakan serangkaian keputusan dan tindakan yang bisa dipergunakan untuk memformulasikan dan juga mengimplementasikan strategi yang mempunyai daya saing yang tinggi dan sesuai dengan perusahaan ataupun lingkungan agar mencapai target maupun sasaran dari organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen strategi mengatasi tingginya angka kematian ibu dan bayi oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Lebak. Penelitian ini mengacu pada proses manajemen strategi Hunger dan Wheelen dalam Rahmat (2014:30). Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen strategi mengatasi tingginya angka kematian ibu dan bayi di Kabupaten Lebak masih tinggi hal ini dikarenakan sulitnya membangun kerjasama antara pihak Dinas Keehatan ataupun Puskesmas dengan masyarakat, hal ini disebabkan karena masih kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat itu sendiri, juga masih adanya masyarakat yang enggan memeriksakan kehamilannya, akses rumah masyarakat ke tempat fasilitas kesehatan yang masih sulit serta masih banyaknya masyarakat yang berpindah tempat tinggal. Saran yang diberikan yaitu melakukan pendekatan secara terus menerus baik dari pihak Dinas Kesehatan maupun Puskesmas terhadap masyarakat serta melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil.
