Additional Information: The aims of this research were to investigate the teachers’ strategies and the factors which influenced the teachers in using strategies in teaching speaking during the Covid-19 pandemic era in SMAN 2 Kota Serang. This research applied a case study by using the descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected from questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The participants of this research were the English teachers in SMAN 2 Kota Serang. The findings of the analyses investigated that the English teachers in SMAN 2 Kota Serang used discussion, role-play, brainstorming, storytelling, reporting, picture describing, and find the differences strategy in teaching speaking during pandemic era. By using those strategies, the students got an excellent score and enhancement in their speaking ability. While the factors which influenced the teachers in choosing the strategies were basic competencies, characteristics of teaching materials, learning facilities and infrastructures, allocation times, and characteristics of the students.
