Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan psikomotor siswa pada sub konsep protista mirip tumbuhan dan protista mirip hewan kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Anyer. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Anyer tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan kognitif antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas konrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh kepada kemampuan kognitif siswa. Data kemampuan kognitif dianalisis statistik dengan Uji-T Independent samples test dan menunjukkan P > 0,05 dengan signifikansi 0,91. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas 76,66 dengan predikat baik untuk kemampuan kognitif. Sementara pada kelas kontrol untuk kemampuan kognitif diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas 79,48 dengan predikat baik. Hasil penelitian pada kemampuan psikomotorik antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdapat perbedaan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh kepada kemampuan psikomotorik siswa. Data kemampuan psikomotorik dianalisis statistik dengan Mann-whitney test dan hasilnya menunjukkan P < 0,05 dengan signifikansi 0,004. Kemampuan psikomotorik siswa kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas 79,44 masuk ke dalam predikat baik. Sementara kemampuan psikomotorik kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas 74,15 masuk ke dalam predikat cukup.

Additional Information: This research aim was to observed the influence of discovery learning model toward student cognitive and psychomotor ability to the sub concept plant-like protists and animal-like protists on the tenth grade student of SMAN 1 Anyer. This research was conducted by quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Sample which was implemented by this research was taken by using purposive sampling method with research population was all tenth grade student of SMAN 1 Anyer academic year 2019/2020. Research sample consisted of two classes, X MIPA 3 as an experimental class and X MIPA 5 as a control class. Data collecting technique was using test and observation. Based on the research results, it was found that ther was no difference in cognitive abilities between the experimental class and the control class. This shows that the treatment did not affect the students’ cognitive abilities. The cognitive ability data were statistically analyzed with the t-test of the independent samples test and showed P > 0,05 with a significance of 0,91. The experimental class received an average grade for the class was 79,48 with a good grade. The results of research on psychomotor abilities between the experimental class and the control class were different. This shows that the treatment affects the students’ psychomotor skills. The psychomotor ability data were statistically analyzed using the MannWhitney test and the results showe P < 0,05 with a significance of 0,004. The psychomotor ability of the experimental class sudents achieved an average class score of 79,44, which was rated as good. Meanwhile, the psychomotor ability of the control class reached an average class value of 74,15, which was rated as sufficient.
