Abstract
ABSTRACT Farhan Azhari Ramdhani, Nim. 66701801005, Analysis of Coral Reef Rehabilitation Movement by the Coral Reef Conservation Forum (F-PTK) Banten Province. Supervisor: Ika Arinia Indriyany, M.A. Government Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2022. Coral reef ecosystem is a habitat in the ocean that has a very important role in terms of providing food for fish, as well as acting as a spawning medium and the process of laying eggs for marine animals in it. However, the existence of coral reef ecosystems, especially in Banten Province, has begun to be damaged and its existence has begun to be ignored by both the community and the local government, as happened on Badul Island and Liwungan Island. This study tries to see how the analysis of a coral reef rehabilitation movement initiated by Coral Reef Conservation Forum (FPTK) in conducting efforts to preserve marine ecosystems. This study uses Tarrow's theory of social movements, accompanied by qualitative research methods and case study approaches. The results of this study conclude that the process of coral reef rehabilitation movement carried out by FPTK has always been successfully carried out in a sustainable manner, as evidenced by the success of FPTK being able to bridge and mobilize local communities, to take definite steps, namely rehabilitating damaged coral reefs. Ekosistem terumbu karang merupakan suatu habitat di lautan yang mempunyai peran sangat penting dalam hal penyedia makanan bagi para ikan, serta berperan sebagai media pemijahan dan proses bertelur para hewan laut didalamnya. Namun, keberadaan ekosistem terumbu karang khususnya di Provinsi Banten sudah mulai rusak dan keberadaannya sudah mulai tidak diperhatikan baik oleh para masyarakat maupun pemerintah daerah, seperti halnya yang terjadi di pulau badul dan juga pulau liwungan. Penelitian ini mencoba melihat bagaimana analisis terhadap suatu gerakan rehabilitasi terumbu karang yang diinisiasi oleh Forum Pelestari Terumbu Karang (FPTK) dalam melakukan usaha pelestarian ekosistem laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori gerakan sosial menurut Tarrow, disertai dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwasanya proses gerakan rehabilitasi terumbu karang yang dilakukan oleh FPTK senantiasa telah berhasil dijalankan secara berkelanjutan, yang dibuktikan dengan adanya keberhasilan dari FPTK yang mampu menjembatani dan menggerakan para masyarakat setempat, untuk melakukan langkah pasti yaitu merehabilitasi kerusakan terumbu karang.
