Abstract
This research aims to find out the form of violation of the principle of politeness according to Leech, in the hotman Paris Show speech title. This research was conducted based on the author's interest in interesting speech degree television programs to be used as the object of research, because not all speech in television is polite, although there is already a special institution that oversees or is also known as KPI (Indonesian Broadcasting Commission). The author chooses to use qualitative descriptive research methods, and data collection techniques are carried out using listening and taking notes techniques. Validity in this study uses triangulation, which is comparing opinions between individuals with other individuals, appropriate and competent in their field. The study resulted in the findings of 31 data forms of violation of Leech's principles of courtesy. As for the classification, namely, (1) the maximal form of wisdom as much as 5 data, (2) the maximal form of generosity as much as 5 data, (3) the form of the maxim of appreciation as much as 5 data, (4) the form of the maxim of simplicity as much as 6 data, (5) the max form of the maximum of 5 data, and (6) the max form of the maxim of harmony as much as 5 data. Based on these results, this study is expected to be additional knowledge in the field of pragmatics, especially about forms of violation of the principle of politeness according to Leech. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan menurut Leech, dalam gelar wicara Hotman Paris Show. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan ketertarikan penulis terhadap program-program televisi gelar wicara yang menarik untuk dijadikan objek penelitian, karena tidak semua tutur kata yang ada dalam televisi bersifat santun, meskipun sudah ada lembaga khusus yang mengawasi atau dikenal juga dengan KPI (Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia). Penulis memilih untuk menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Validitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi, yakni membandingkan pendapat antara individu satu dengan individu lainnya, sesuai dan kompeten di bidangnya. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan 31 data bentuk pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan Leech. Adapun klasifikasinya, yaitu, (1) bentuk maksim kebijaksanaan sebanyak 5 data, (2) bentuk maksim kedermawanan sebanyak 5 data, (3) bentuk maksim penghargaan sebanyak 5 data, (4) bentuk maksim kesederhanaan sebanyak 6 data, (5) bentuk maksim kemufakatan sebanyak 5 data, dan (6) bentuk maksim kesimpatisan sebanyak 5 data. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pengetahuan tambahan dalam bidang pragmatik khususnya tentang bentuk-bentuk pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan menurut Leech.
