Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ukuran perusahaan dan struktur modal dapat mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah variabel profitabilitas dapat memediasi pengaruh ukuran perusahaan dan struktur modal terhadap nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan subsektor perkebunan yang terdaftar di bursa efek Indonesia tahun 2014-2018. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian dasar dengan sifat eksplanasi kausal dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 14 perusahaan subsektor perkebunan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan menggunakan kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti. Metode analisis data yaitu dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS dan melakukan uji parsial (uji t) serta melakukan analisis jalur (path analysis). Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil uji parsial menunjukan bahwa ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas dan struktur modal tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Kemudian, profitabilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, dan struktur modal tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Berdasarkan hasil path analysis dan uji sobel menunjukan bahwa profitabilitas tidak mampu memediasi pengaruh ukuran perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan, dan profitabilitas juga tidak mampu memediasi pengaruh struktur modal terhadap nilai perusahaan.

Additional Information:	The purpose of this study is to determine whether firm size and capital structure can affect firm value. In addition, this study also aims to analyze whether the profitability variable can mediate the effect of firm size and capital structure on firm value. This research was conducted at plantation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange period 2014-2018. This research is included in basic research with the nature of causal explanation and uses a quantitative approach. The samples used were 14 companies in the plantation sub-sector. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling using criteria predetermined by the researcher. The data analysis method is to use the help of the SPSS application and perform a partial test (t test) and perform path analysis (path analysis). SPSS application is used in this research for the data analysis. The partial test results show that firm size has no significant effect on profitability and capital structure has no significant effect on profitability. Then, profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value, firm size has a negative and significant effect on firm value, and capital structure has no significant effect on firm value. Based on the results of path analysis and sobel test, it shows that profitability is not able to mediate the effect of firm size on firm value, and profitability is also unable to mediate the effect of capital structure on firm value.
