Abstract

The study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of dual roles, (2) describe the impact, and (3) describe solutions to overcome the problem of dual roles of mother in Singarajan Village, Pontang-Serang Subdistrict who work at PT.Nikomas. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were women with multiple roles who worked in the Nikomas factory. Collecting data using non-partisipatory observation methods, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Researchers are the main instrument. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. Triangulation uses source triangulation ang technique triangulation.The results showed: (1) the way mothers work in carrying out their roles at home, namely, entrusing children to parent or family member at home even to their husband when not working, mothers always wake up early to do homework and are assisted by their husband or members, other family. Meanwhile, in carrying out its role in the public sector, namely by following the applicable regulations in the workplace and continuing to work in accordance with the demands and proffesions in the workplace. (2) the impact of the dual role on woeking mothers including the economic impact, namely, being able to help the meet daily needs such as food needs, education costs and other household needs, besides that it also increases income and help husbands in earing a living. Additional Information:	Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan peran ganda, (2) mendeskripsikan dampak, serta (3) mendeskripsikan solusi mengatasi masalah peran ganda ibu di Desa Singarajan Kecamatan Pontang-Serang yang bekerja di PT. Nikomas.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah perempuan dengan peran ganda yang bekerja di pabrik nikomas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi non partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti merupakan instrument utama. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Tringulasi menggunakan tringulasi sumber dan tringulasi Teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) cara ibu bekerja dalam melaksanakan perannya di rumah yaitu, menitipkan anak kepada orang tua atau anggota keluarga di rumah atau bahkan kepada suaminya apabila tidak bekerja, ibu selalu bangun lebih awal untuk mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah dan dibantu oleh suami atau anggota keluarga lainnya. Sedangkan dalam melaksanakan perannya di sector public yaitu dengan mengikuti peraturan yang berlaku di tempat kerja dan tetap bekerja sesuai dengan tuntutan dan profesinya di tempat kerja.
