Dwi Adhi Nugroho. NIM 6662072926. Skripsi. Hubungan Antara Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Mengenai Jaringan Komputer dan Kompetensi Siswa SMK (Survey dijurusan TKJ SMKN 1 Kota Serang). Kebutuhan akan informasi dirasakan akan terus bertambah bagi seseorang ketika ingin menutupi rasa ingin tahu dan rasa penasarannya. Seseorang merasa membutuhkan sumber-sumber lain diluar dirinya karena ia merasa bahwa tingkat pengetahuan yang dimilikinya masih kurang. Hal ini juga terjadi pada perilaku pencarian informasi para remaja yang sedang duduk di bangku Sekolah Menengah Atas/Kejuruan (SMA/SMK). Pada akhirnya perilaku Pencarian informasi yang dilakukan oleh siswa SMK ini berhubungan dengan Peningkatan/penurunan kompetensi mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Jaringan dengan Kompetensi Siswa SMK. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Behaviorisme. Teori ini lebih menekankan pada tingkah laku manusia. Memandang individu sebagai makhluk reaktif yang memberi respon terhadap lingkungan, dan pengalaman akan membentuk perilaku mereka Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bersifat eksplanatif. Data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 Kota Serang jurusan TKJ yang berjumlah 105 orang yang terbagi kedalam 3 kelas yang diambil secara sensus. Hasil penelitian dengan korelasi Pearson’s Product Moment menunjukkan hubungan yang cukup kuat, positif dan signifikan antara perilaku pencarian informasi jaringan dengan kompetensi siswa, yaitu sebesar 0,607 dengan nilai signifikansi Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Angka tersebut menunjukan angka korelasi yang kuat, signifikan dan searah. Dengan demikian semakin baik perilaku pencarian informasi jaringan yang dilakukan siswa maka semakin meningkat pula kompetensi mereka. The need for information will continue to grow for a person when she/he trying to fulfill his/her curiosity. Someone felt the need of other sources outside himself when he/she thought that he/she still lack of knowledge. It also occurs in the information-seeking behavior of young people who are studying in High School / Vocational High School (SMA / SMK). In the end, the information search behavior conducted by vocational high school students is related to increase / decrease their competence. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between behavior of Network Information Search and Vocational High School Students competency. The theory used in this research is the theory of Behaviorism. This theory is more emphasis on human behavior. Regard the individual as being reactive which is respond to the environment, and experience will shape their behavior. In this study the writer used a quantitative approach which is explanative. The data were collected by using questionnaires and surveys. Samples used in this study were the Students of State Vocational High School 1 Serang (SMK Negeri 1 Kota serang) majoring in TKJ (Computer Engineering and network) consist of 105 students, which divided into 3 classes and was taken by census. The results of the study were analyzed with Pearson's Product Moment correlation which shows a fairly strong relation, positive and significant relationship between information seeking behavior of the network with the competence of students, amounting to 0.607 with a significance value of Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000. The figure shows a strong correlation figures, significant and direct. Thus, the better the network information seeking behavior of the student is also increasing their competence.
