Additional Information: Corn (Zea mays L.) was one of the plants cultivated by the community and belongs to the cereal group. This research was conducted to determine the growth and yield of various varieties of maize (Zea mays L.) under different drought stresses. This research was conducted at the screen house of the Banten Agricultural Research and Technology Center (BPTP) and the Agroclimatology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University from November 2020 to February 2021. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK). The first factor was several varieties with 3 levels, namely v1 (Nasa 29), v2 (Lamuru), and v3 (Bisi 2). The second factor was drought stress with 4 levels, namely k1 (100% KL), k2 (80% KL), and k3 (60% KL), and k4 (40% KL). Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 experimental units. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of stomata, leaf chlorophyll, root length, plant dry weight, leaf area, length of ear, diameter of ear, dry weight of cob without husks, weight of dry seeds, and weight of 100 grains. The use of different maize varieties affected the parameters of plant height at 2 WAP (51.41 cm), number of leaves at 6 and 9 WAP (7.55 and 11.00), stem diameter at 2 – 3 WAP (0.63 cm and 1.11 cm), weight of 100 seeds (4.86 g), diameter of cob (3.23 cm), dry seed weight (4.97 g), and Lamuru variety gave the best results compared to other varieties. Drought stress with different levels affected the parameters of plant height at the age of 3 WAP – 9 WAP (77.55 cm, 101.22 cm, 131.00 cm, 155.33 cm, 169.88 cm, 171.55 cm, and 172.00 cm), number of leaves aged 3 - 8 WAP (4.66 leaves, 5.55 strands, 7.11 strands, 7.55 strands, 9.88 strands, and 11.11 strands), stem diameter aged 5 - 9 MST (1.97 cm, 2.15 cm, 2.11 cm, 2.12 cm, and 2.13 cm), ear length (10.88 cm), leaf area (6385.33 cm²), weight plant dryness (7.21 g), ear diameter (3.27 cm), dry weight of cob without husks (5.84 g), and dry seed weight (5.81 g). Drought stress of 60% KL gave the best results on growth and yield of maize. There was an interaction between maize varieties and drought stress on the parameters of leaf area, plant dry weight, and ear diameter.
