Additional Information: | This study was aimed to determine the effect of plant spacing and inoculation of Rhizobium sp. to growth and yield of long bean plants (Vigna sinensis L. ). This research was conducted at Integrated Agricultural System Area Land of Department of Agriculture Banten Province from March until June 2020. The research method was used Factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is plant spacing treatment with three levels, which is 40x50 cm, 50x50 cm, 60x50 cm. The second factor is the inoculation of Rhizobium sp. treatment with 4 sides, which is 5 g/kg seed, 10 g/kg seed, 15 g/kg seed, and 20 g/kg seed. The results showed that plant spacing treatment did not give any significant effect to growth and yield of long bean plants. The plant spacing of 60x50 cm gave the highest yields on the parameters of plant height at 28 DAS, fresh weight of stover, number of pods per plant, fresh weight pod per plant, and number of seeds per pod. The inoculation of Rhizobium sp. treatment also did not give any significant effect to growth and yield of long bean plants. Rhizobium sp. inoculation dose as much as 20 g/kg of seeds gave the highest yields on the parameters of plant height 21 and 28 DAS, total nodules of roots, fresh weight of stover, dry weight of stover, number of pods per plant, fresh weight of pods per plant, and number of seeds per pod. There is no interaction between plant spacing treatment and inoculation of Rhizobium sp. treatment to growth and yield of long bean plants. | |||||||||
