Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of monetary policy using changes in the BI Rate as a (key explanatory variable) or proxy for changes in monetary policy and also to analyze how the influence of the variables of Equity, Assets, Real GDP and Inflation on credit at 41 conventional banks in Indonesia for the period 2014 until 2021. The results of the analysis using the First Difference GMM (FD-GMM) approach found that the BI rate had a significant negative effect on credit in Indonesia or the bank lending channel had an effect on the transmission of monetary policy in Indonesia. The results also show that Equity has a significant negative effect on credit in Indonesia. Asset have a significant positive effect on credit in Indonesia. Real GDP has no significant positive effect on Credit in Indonesia. Inflation has a significant positive effect on credit in Indonesia.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kebijakan moneter menggunakan perubahan BI Rate sebagai (key explanatory variable) atau Proxy untuk perubahan kebijakan moneter dan juga menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh variabel Modal bank, Aset bank, PDB dan Inflasi terhadap Kredit pada 41 bank konvensional di Indonesia periode tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2021. Hasil analisis dengan pendekatan First Difference GMM (FD-GMM) ditemukan bahwa BI rate berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Kredit di Indonesia atau saluran bank lending channel berpengaruh dalam transmisi kebijakan moneter di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan Modal bank berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Kredit di Indonesia. Aset Bank berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Kredit di Indonesia. PDB riil berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap Kredit di Indonesia. Inflasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Kredit di Indonesia.
