Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran mana yang lebih baik untuk meningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD dan TSTS. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Muhammadiyah Cilegon, sampel dipilih 2 kelas, dalam menentukan kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Tes berupa 4 soal uraian yang sesuai dengan indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Pretes dilakukan sebagai tes kemampuan awal sebelum perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD dan TSTS. Postes dilakukan setelah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD dan TSTS. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah proses pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD dan TSTS dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari ketiga gaya belajar tersebut menunjukan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD lebih baik dari pada model pembelajaran TSTS.

Additional Information: This study aims to find out which learning model is better for improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities, between students who use the STAD learning model and TSTS. The population of this study was all students of SMK Muhammadiyah Cilegon, a sample of 2 classes was selected, in determining the experimental classes 1 and 2 conducted by purposive sampling. Tests were in the form of 5 problem descriptions that were in accordance with indicators of mathematical problem solving ability. The pretest was conducted as an initial ability test before treatment using the STAD and TSTS learning models. Posttest was carried out after being treated using the STAD learning model and TSTS. The results obtained after the learning process using the STAD learning model and TSTS can be concluded that of the three learning styles shows that the mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the STAD learning model is better than the TSTS learning model.
