Abstract
The research was aimed to know the effect of application NPK fertilizer and different types of mulch on the growth and yield of long beans (Vigna sinensis L.). This research was conducted in Tambak Baya Village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province from September 2020 until November 2020. The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) as a factorial with 2 factors. The first factor was various types of NPK fertilizers (15:15:15, 16:16:16, and 12:27:23) and the second factor was various types of mulch (no mulch, rice husk mulch, and silver-on-black mulch). The results showed that the application of NPK fertilizer (15-15-15) gave the best effect of wet weight (245.76 g), wet weight per plot (245.80 g / plot). The use of silver-on-black plastic mulch (M2) gave the best effect on plant height at 4 Weeks After Planting (WAP) (202.08 cm), the number of leaves aged 4 WAP (19.21 pieces), the number of flowers at 5 WAP (7,79), wet weight at 7 WAP (270,28 g), wet weight per plot at 7 WAP (264,78 g / plot). There were no interactions between the application of various types of NPK fertilizers and various types of mulch on the growth and yield of long bean plants on all parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, number of pods, wet weight of long beans, and wet weight of long bean plots except there were interaction for plant height parameters, and the number of leaves.
